ATLANTA (Sept. 9, 2025) - U.S. Men’s Cerebral Palsy (CP) National Team head coach Stuart Sharp has named a 15-player roster for the team’s upcoming domestic training camp to be held Sept. 17-21 at McCurry Park in Fayetteville, Ga. The camp will serve as the team’s last preparation before Sharp names his final roster for the IFCPF Copa America in Punta del Este, Uruguay from Oct. 8-18
This camp reflects the Federation’s commitment to the U.S. Way, by investing in resources, infrastructure, and comprehensive support for its Extended National Teams – including the Cerebral Palsy National Teams - to ensure they are fully prepared to compete and succeed on the world stage.
“This year has brought challenges with availability and injuries, but it has also opened the door for new players to emerge and for established squad members to take on different roles,” Sharp said. “This has meant that we have seen real growth across the group, and the way the players have responded has been a credit to them. As we enter the final phase of preparation for the Copa America, the focus is on continuing this positivity and returning from Uruguay with a medal."
Adding to the excitement of this camp, on Monday the USA learned its draw for the 2025 IFCPF Copa América. Placed in Group A, the CP MNT will open Oct. 11 against Argentina (11 a.m. ET) and face hosts Uruguay on Oct. 12 (8:30 a.m. ET), before rounding out the group stage on Oct. 14 against Venezuela (11 a.m. ET). All matches will be streamed live via the IFCPF YouTube channel.
Sharp’s squad features12 players that helped the team to three consecutive victories away at Colombia last month, including veterans Adam Ballou (Virginia Beach, Va.), who became just the third player in CP MNT history to reach 90 career appearances, and Ben Lindau (Chicago, Ill.), who captained the team at the 2024 World Cup and in two of the three matches against Colombia last month. Meanwhile, defender Jacob Kaplan (Morganville, N.J.) and forward John Sullivan (Tucson, Ariz.) will arrive in camp after solid outings against Colombia last month.
The roster also sees the return of U.S. Soccer’s 2023 Male CP Player of the Year, Josh Brunais (Stafford, Va.), as well as midfielder Jonah Meyer-Crothers (Sylvania, Ohio). A two-time World Cup veteran, Brunais is back in camp for the first time since suffering a ruptured ACL last September, just prior to the 2024 IFCPF World Cup. A veteran of the 2022 World Cup, Meyer-Crothers makes his first CP MNT camp appearance since August 2024.
