The hunt for the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup trophy continues in the semifinal round. The first of two semifinal matches features two MLS clubs – Nashville SC vs. Philadelphia Union. The match kicks off at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
Fans can watch the game on CBS Sports Network and Paramount+ on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET. Catch the pregame and postgame show on the same network.
There will be a new champion in the country's oldest soccer tournament as Nashville and Philadelphia both search for their first-ever Open Cup title. The Union has reached the penultimate match three times (2014, 2015 and 2018) while Nashville advanced to its first semifinal this year.
Both teams entered the tournament in the Round of 32. Nashville beat the Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (USL1), Orlando City(MLS) in the Round of 16 and D.C. United (MLS) in the quarterfinal. The Union narrowly escaped Indy Eleven (USL Championship) in a penalty shootout, beat Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (USL Championship) and NY Red Bulls (MLS) to advance to the semis.
