We’re proud to announce that four U.S. Soccer officials have been
selected by FIFA to officiate at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup — the
first-ever edition hosted in the United States and featuring an expanded
field of 32 of the world’s top clubs.
Congratulations to Tori Penso (Referee), Kathryn Nesbitt and Brooke
Mayo (Assistant Referees), and Armando Villarreal (Video Match
Official) on their selection to officiate at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

professionalism, and global respect earned by U.S. match officials. Tori,
Kathryn, and Brooke also stand out as the only women selected as on-
field officials for this year’s tournament — a powerful acknowledgment
of their quality and leadership at the highest level of the game.
Together, all four exemplify why U.S. referees are recognized among
the world’s best.
The tournament runs from June 15 to July 13, and we’ll be cheering
them on every step of the way.
