The U.S. Women’s National Team is back in action for the final time this summer, taking on Canada in the Allstate Continental Clásico on July 2.
The USWNT is fresh off its 600th win after beating the Republic of Ireland 4-0 in back-to-back matches. This matchup against a Concacaf rival will pose a stronger test for a young U.S. side.
Wednesday’s match kicks off from Audi Field in the nation’s capital of Washington, D.C. at 7:30 p.m. ET. Tickets are still available here.
What is the Allstate Continental Clásico?
The Allstate Continental Clásico is an annual event featuring elite teams across the Americas. This year, the No. 1-ranked USA faces No. 8 Canada.
The first Continental Clásico was held in 2023, where the USMNT played Mexico in a 1-1 draw. In 2024, the Men’s National Team drew 1-1 with a top South American team, Brazil.
This will be the first time the USWNT has competed in the yearly match. The USA is coming off back-to-back 4-0 international friendly wins against Ireland. The USWNT is 53-4-9 against Canada in 66 total matchups. They faced off twice last year in the SheBelieves Cup Final and Concacaf Gold Cup Semifinal — the United States won both tightly-contested matches in penalty shootouts.

Injury Update
Defenders Gisele Thompson and Kerry Abello sustained hamstring injuries and left the National Team camp, the team announced June 29.
Thompson subbed on in the first match against Ireland, while Abello remained on the bench. They were not replaced on the initial 25-player training camp roster.
Both players earned their first caps in 2025 and play for NWSL teams. Thompson, 19, is a starting right back on Angel City FC. Meanwhile, Abello, 25, has been an important part of second-ranked Orlando Pride as a left back.
