CHICAGO (Nov. 20, 2024) – The schedule for the Fourth and Final Matchday of the 2025 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds is confirmed. There will be three games on Saturday, December 7 and four more on Sunday, December 8 – with the seven winners joining a field of 32 Open Division amateur underdogs when the 110th edition of this historic competition resumes in the Spring.
A first batch of seven amateur teams booked passage on the Third Matchday on November 16 and 17, with five of those winners stamping tickets to the Tournament Proper for the first time.
The marquee matchup of the Fourth and Final Matchday pits Oklahoma’s Tulsa Athletic – underdog darlings of the 2023 Open Cup – on the road against Chicago House AC, who aim to reach the Tournament Proper for the third time in a row.
There will also be a pair of all-Florida contests as southern powers Miami United FC host rivals Red Force FC and FC America CFL Spurs travel to take on Harbor City FC.
Dallas’ FORO SC – who reached last year’s Tournament Proper via these Qualifying Rounds – host Houston Regals SCA and Las Vegas Legends FC travel to Seattle to meet Washington Athletic Club.
International San Francisco target a second straight spot in the Tournament Proper with a rare hosting brief against Valley 559 FC. Laguna United FC travel south to take on San Diego Internacional to round out the weekend’s action.
The 14 teams that reach the Tournament Proper via the Qualifying Rounds (from a field of 114 original entrants) will join USASA National Amateur Cup winner NY Pancyprian Freedoms, UPSL Spring Champion Soda City FC and 16 teams from the National League Qualifying Track, split between the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and USL League Two.

The U.S. Open Cup winner earns $300,000 in prize money, a berth in the Concacaf Champions Cup and has its name engraved on the Dewar Challenge Trophy – one of the oldest nationally-contested trophies in American team sports now on permanent display at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Frisco, Texas. The Runner-up takes home $100,000, while the team that advances the furthest from each lower division earns a $25,000 cash prize.
