CHICAGO (Oct. 25, 2024) – Utah Royals goalkeeper Mandy Haught has received her first U.S. Women’s National Team call-up, replacing Jane Campbell who suffered a muscle injury during training in Austin, Texas, where the USA defeated Iceland 3-1 last night at Q2 Stadium.
Haught joins the USWNT in Nashville, Tenn. as the team prepares to face Iceland again on Sunday, Oct. 27 at GEODIS Park in a match presented by AT&T (5:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. CT on TNT, truTV, Max, Universo and Peacock).
The 25-year-old Haught, formerly McGlynn, was a member of the USA’s 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Team and finished her U-20 career with 10 caps. She was the starting goalkeeper for the USA at the 2018 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship and also played for the USA at the U-18 WNT level.
Haught was drafted by NJ/NY Gotham FC in 2020, played in Sweden for Piteå IF over 2021-2022, went back to Gotham in 2023 where she helped the club win the NWSL Championship, and was traded to the Utah Royals in December of that year. This season, she has played 23 matches with the Royals spanning 2,070 minutes and has recorded four clean sheets.
