Additional Notes:
- While this will be the first 12-team Concacaf W Gold Cup, Concacaf did call its World Cup qualifying tournaments Gold Cups in 2002 and 2006, but those were eight-team tournaments consisting of only Concacaf teams. The USA won both of those competitions while qualifying for the 2003 and 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cups, respectively.
- In 2000, Concacaf staged a Women’s Gold Cup that was not a qualifying tournament, with Brazil as a guest team, but that tournament also had eight teams. The USA beat Brazil 1-0 in the championship game.
- Dignity Health Sports Park, a U.S. Soccer National Training Center since it opened 2003, has hosted more USWNT matches than any venue in the world and now will add three more games. The USWNT has played 18 matches at the stadium.
