- Walker Zimmerman captains the USMNT for the ninth time tonight.
- Five players appeared in the last meeting with Mexico – a 0-0 draw in World Cup Qualifying on March 24, 2022, at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Kellyn Acosta, DeAndre Yedlin and Walker Zimmerman started the match, before Aaron Long and Jordan Morris came on as substitutes.
- Jordan Morris is the only player on the roster to have scored against Mexico, with the forward tallying his first international goal while still a student at Stanford University in a 2-0 friendly win on April 15, 2015, in San Antonio.
