The Volkswagen All-Star Spotlight program is a collaboration between U.S. Soccer and VW to highlight children with a passion for the game. The VW All-Star for the USWNT’s October 26 match against Korea Republic is 10-year-old Paisley from Andover, Minnesota. In the four years she has been playing soccer, Paisley has fallen in love with the game and always pushes herself and others to do their best and have fun.

Who is your favorite U.S. Soccer player and why?
Julie Ertz because she plays the same position as I do and her faith!
Why do you love soccer?
I love soccer because there are many skills you can learn and you get to work as a team, so I’ve made a lot of friends through the sport.
What is the most important lesson you have learned from playing sports?
I have learned that you work better as a team than alone. Teamwork makes the dream work!
What are you most looking forward to this fall?
The Dude Perfect tour and I’m really excited for my futsal training so that I can improve my footwork.
Who inspires you the most and why?
My mom because she is always working hard and is kind. It inspires me to work hard in my games and to be nice to my teammates and coaches.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
A soccer player for the U.S. Women’s National Team!
What or who are you thankful for?
My family because they are always cheering me on and my soccer team because they are my friends.
