After making her return to the field with the U.S. Women’s National Team on Nov. 27, forward Alex Morgan took another step in her return to action, scoring her first goal for Tottenham Hotspur in the team’s 3-1 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
Morgan converted from the penalty spot in the 84th minute to secure Tottenham’s first WSL victory of the season. It was her first goal for club or country since scoring the game-winner in the USA’s 2-1 win over England in the semifinals of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup on July 2, 2019.
