I started soccer at the age of 5...going on to play High School, club, college, and professionally for a season under U23s.

I’ve experienced a number of traumatic brain injuries, from a skydiving double-malfunction impact from 1000 feet, motorcycle accidents, injured in combat zones in Afghanistan, Middle East, and Africa, as well as combat sport (MMA, boxing, and Muay Thai) related head injuries.

My parents names are Roger and Lori Jahn. My sister’s name is Hannah Petersen, and my brother’s name is Sean Petersen.

My hobbies include: skydiving, scuba diving, competitive shooting, archery, snowboarding, horseback riding, race car driving (Formula Renault 2.0), mountaineering, MMA/BJJ/and Muay Thai fighting.

Fun facts about me might include: I have traveled to 98 countries. I speak four languages. I served in the military for 11 years (seven of which were in a Special Operations Unit). I served as a SWAT law enforcement officer in Florida for four years. I served as a Special Agent in the US Government for four years. I lived in Thailand and fought professional Muay Thai, as well as owned a pet baby elephant. I raced Formula cars in France, Spain and Germany while living in Europe. I lived and served as a counter-poacher team leader in an Anti-Poaching Unit in Africa for a number of years after my careers in the military and government. After being injured in Afghanistan in 2010 and paralyzed, and told I’d never walk without an assistive device again, I was fortunate enough to lead the US National Team in points at the 2016 Rio Games as a striker and co-captain. I’m currently on staff with the US Women’s National Team in their bid for a fourth World Cup title, and a representative on the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s Athlete Advisory Counsel. And most importantly, I’m a Christian.
