A quick-footed forward hailing from Escondido, California, Corey Baird is among a new class of players in the MNT pool looking for minutes on the senior team. Baird spent much of his youth career with the San Diego Surf later transitioning to Real Salt Lake AZ, part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
In 2011, he joined the United States men's national under-17 soccer team Residency Program and found playing time starting in all four matches during the 2013 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.
College standout
Baird spent his college years at Stanford as a standout player in both forward and midfield roles helping the team to win three consecutive NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championships. He received numerous selections to all-conference teams throughout his tenure.
In 2018, he signed as a homegrown player with Real Salt Lake and went on to establish himself as a key part of the offense, scoring five goals with eight assists as a regular starter. He received his first MNT call up in January of 2019 and played his first minutes as a starter in a friendly against Panama.
